Hasbro's Philanthropy

Hasbro's mission is to stand up for children, passionately working together to create a universe where every child experiences hope, kindness and joy. This has been the history of their mission since this foundation was discovered. Hasbro gets their money from charitable grants, in-kind product donations and employee volunteerism. Through these people it is apparent to Hasbro that they positively effect children from all across the globe. All organizations receiving philanthropic support from Hasbro must agree to the non discrimination policy. The Hasbro children's fund is responsible for the majority of the companies grant making. The giving guidelines listed on Hasbro's website include all of the organizations receiving philanthropic support from Hasbro who also, again MUST agree to the non discrimination policy. One of their grant programs is called Gift of Play. The Gift of Play program supports nonprofit organizations that provide around-the-clock care for children, such as hospitals and shelters. With the help of partner organizations, they also have a generous holiday giving program that works to ensure that needy children do not go without a toy or game on the morning of his or her holiday. Hasbro had to apply for this grant to Gift of Play, and when applying, they fit the guidelines perfectly.  They support around the clock care for children everywhere, therefore this grant helps so many children feel special.
